Hard to believe that just a week ago the King of Pop passed away, but a part of me doesn’t seem to register the fact that he is gone. I guess the thing that makes me feel this way are his songs. Michael may be dead, but he is forever immortallized through his music. Its amazing, how, when one puts enough effort, momentum into something, nothing, not even death can stop that momentum, and it is this momentum, that still makes me feel as if he is still alive, ready to show the world more of his music.

On another note, Michael Jackson’s music stays popular even with a bunch of newer artists contributing to the genre. His songs, such as Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat it, and my favorite, Smooth Criminal, (Which I am actually listening to as I type), are still modern despite the fact that they have quite a few years on them.

Anyways, the thought of Michael Jackson will live on in my heart forever, and when I listen to his music I will feel joyful knowing that he was alive during my generation, but also saddened that my children won’t be able to witness him while he was alive.
