About Geordan Raisler, The Editor
Hello, I’m Geordan Raisler. This blog is dedicated to all the things that go on inside my head, be it sillyness, holidays, people who had an impact on society, current people, or just other stuff, but I always find a deeper meaning to these ideas. So now with the explanation of my personal blog behind, lets talk about the editor himself.
I don’t have a heavy history, nor many exciting parts in my life, mostly just learning minor lessons here or there, and hungering for a big adventure a lot of the time. I was born in Miami Beach, but raised in Fort Lauderdale for a major part of my life. There I went to Floranada Elementary School and met two wonderful friends, Zachary Sherry and Vanessa Stacklies, both who are very dear to me. Anyways, in my 2nd grade year I fondly remember that I always wondered what it would be like in High School, being older, driving a car, and being my own boss (more on that later).
After the elementary years I attended James S. Rickards Middle School, only 6th through 7th, because my parents moved to Oviedo, (thirty minutes from Mickey too), and I soon went to Jackson Heights Middle School for 8th grade. Losing a bunch of familiar faces and being thrown into a new school was exciting and very confusing at the same time.
To this day I attend Hagerty High School as a sophomore and have aspirations to become the chef of my own restuarant in the future. Now looking back at my big ideas from Floranada, I realize…that nothing really changed. Instead I got taller, was assigned bigger math, more work, and dreamed up larger ideas for the future. In reality the only thing that changed was the “playing field”, so to speak. So with an open mind I face any new challenges head on.
Geordans’ Thoughts – Life takes us down many paths, many rivers and streams that lead to the ocean. Some of those rivers may take us gently and easily to our goal, but some might dam up, or take us over rapids before we reach our goal. Throughout life’s journeys I learn more and grow, and until I reach my end goal, my journey will continue.
