This thought occured to me as I was going to sleep the other day, (or trying too, lately I have been having insomnia), and I was thinking about school next year. I felt like I had mixed emotions, like a part of me wanted to go to school, meet new people, and get a new schedule. Another part of me didn’t want my summer to end…ever. I believe that the mind isn’t just our body controller. I think our mind is like many people with their own opinion, each saying something that contributes to our overall emotion, or opinion. Kind of like a senate of sorts. I also thought that if that there was only one “person” inside our heads, we would all be exactly alike, with an unchanging emotion. You ask, “Well, what if that so-called “person” was different every time?” If each of these “people” harbor only one emotion, or viewpoint, and there was only one “person” that makes up the mind, then sure people would be different, but every so often there would be people with the same emotion, or same opinion on something. With an idea of many voices, many emotions, and many ideas, people start to have different emotions, harbor many viewpoints at the same time. Not only do they display emotion differently than each other, but when there is a decision, they can choose to be in the middle.
Geordan’s Thoughts – A person is in control of his/her emotions and opinions, but the many voices that make up our mind contribute toward those emotions and opinions.

Hard to believe that just a week ago the King of Pop passed away, but a part of me doesn’t seem to register the fact that he is gone. I guess the thing that makes me feel this way are his songs. Michael may be dead, but he is forever immortallized through his music. Its amazing, how, when one puts enough effort, momentum into something, nothing, not even death can stop that momentum, and it is this momentum, that still makes me feel as if he is still alive, ready to show the world more of his music.
On another note, Michael Jackson’s music stays popular even with a bunch of newer artists contributing to the genre. His songs, such as Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat it, and my favorite, Smooth Criminal, (Which I am actually listening to as I type), are still modern despite the fact that they have quite a few years on them.
Anyways, the thought of Michael Jackson will live on in my heart forever, and when I listen to his music I will feel joyful knowing that he was alive during my generation, but also saddened that my children won’t be able to witness him while he was alive.

Geordan’s Thoughts – Michael Jackson may have died, but his legacy lives on through his music.
